The Wood Workers Group operates in a separate building at the rear of the main Arts Centre. Our normal operating hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. until 12.00 noon. Active Members need to be financial members of the Woodworkers group in addition to being financial members of the Arts Centre.
Our motto is “Teach and Learn” and we welcome all enquiries to join our group. You do not need to have any prior knowledge of woodworking, only a desire to learn. We have a well equipped workshop and there is a wide variety of activities available including wood turning; dovetail and bandsaw box making; woodcarving; cabinet making; scroll sawing; intarsia, etc. Our members are there to assist you at any time and come from a variety of trade and non trade backgrounds.
